The Art League's annual Patrons' Show returns to the delight of Old Town art enthusiasts on Sunday, February 17. Described as part block party, part fundraiser, The Patrons' Show is a unique opportunity to view and purchase locally made art, while supporting a great cause. This year marks the 51st anniversary of The Patrons' Show and EYA is proud to sponsor of the event.

Westfield Montgomery Mall has been rolling out big developments in the past few years, with an improved food court, the addition of high-end retail, and the opening of ArcLight Cinemas and Lucky Strike bowling alley and gastropub. Recently, Kevin Bacon and his band, The Bacon Brothers, enjoyed some of Old Town Alexandria’s charms. While in town for their show at the Birchmere, they stopped off at the Sugar Shack and the Port City Brewing Company. Even a musician/actor such as Kevin Bacon couldn’t pass up performing for a free Sugar Shack Pastry. That same day, the inspiring band also performed a surprise concert for the Volunteers at City Blossoms, a neighborhood organization dedicated to creative green spaces.
