Kick off the official first weekend of summer this Saturday, June 22nd at the annual Portside in Old Town Summer Festival and keep the celebrations going over the next few weekends with the opening of a brand new pop up Waterfront Beer Garden from Port City Brewing Company.

Located on the gorgeous Old Town Alexandria waterfront, the Portside in Old Town Summer Festival, will be hosted at Waterfront Park, just steps from the foot of Alexandria’s iconic King Street.
Dance to a unique line-up of artists and collaborators across genres such as Latin folk, Ethiopian jazz, and brass fusion. Grab a drink at the pop up Waterfront Beer Garden, serving Port City's award-winning craft beers, including crowd favorites like Optimal Wit. Have a snack from one of the local food vendors, including Pizzeria Paradiso, Rocklands BBQ, and treats from Dolci Gelati.
Activities range from classic backyard lawn games like cornhole to unique jewelry making stations and interactive history lessons. Find your new passion at School of Rock Alexandria's Instrumental Petting Zoo, explore the interactive art installation, Mirror Mirror, and get creative with hands-on visual arts activities from The Art League.

What better way to spend a warm summer day than with friends, family, a beautiful view, and an ice cold drink in hand? Starting June 28th, join friends and family over two weekends at Waterfront Park for Port City's new Waterfront Beer Garden.
Sip on fan favorites like Optimal Wit and Rivershed Ale, and try something new from the variety of daily beer selections available. Grab a drink, sit back, and enjoy live music performances from local bands, singer/songwriters, and DJs. Feel like doing something more active? Get competitive at one of the many lawn games set up throughout the park!
Pair your favorite brews with something delicious from local food vendors. The first weekend, Meggrolls will be on-site, serving up their creative twists on classic eggrolls. Over the Fourth of July weekend, attendees can look forward to classic BBQ options from Chadwicks, Rocklands BBQ’s food truck, and Smoking Kow BBQ’s food truck. Treats from Dolci Gelati will also be available both weekends.
